Kenmore Park and Ride Consolidation and Capital Improvements

Project Description
King County Transit and the City of Kenmore desired to expand transit service at the existing park and ride and add upgraded transit facilities. The major challenge to the improvements was ensuring the adjacent Great Blue Heron rookery would not be affected.
Project Responsibilities
- Obtained agreement with WA Fish and Wildlife for mitigating protected species
- Obtained all required land use permits
- Resolved property boundary dispute with adjoining private party property owner
Project Results
- Successfully negotiated a mitigation agreement with WA Fish & Wildlife for the ongoing monitoring and protection of the Great Blue Heron Rookery
- Obtained all required land use permits in a timely manner
- Negotiated an acceptable solution to the property boundary dispute and processed boundary line adjustment
- Project was completed on schedule
