Project Description
King County transformed its downtown Redmond park and ride lot into a high quality $7.2 million transit center. The primary elements of the project included major street improvements, improving the pedestrian environment for transit patrons, expanding transit capacity and improving transit efficiency.
Project Responsibilities
- Obtained necessary land use entitlements and building permit
- Obtained necessary easements, permanent and temporary
- Obtained City of Redmond vacation of ROW
- Participated in design charrette between King County and City of Redmond
- Member of the King County project planning team
Project Results
- Obtained land use entitlement permits within schedule
- Negotiated a ROW vacation and utility easement with City of Redmond which required negotiations and consensus building with multiple stakeholders in the City's departments
- Negotiated a permanent pedestrian easement with private land owner
